Russia Launches Work on a Digital Platform Development Strategy

Russia Launches Work on a Digital Platform Development Strategy

On July 9, work began on developing Russia’s National Strategy for the Development of Digital Platforms through 2036.

A kick-off seminar, co-hosted by the TRIM Center and VEB.RF, brought together the chairs of the expert groups within the Interdepartmental Working Group on the Development of Digital Ecosystems and Digital Platforms. Analysts from the TRIM Center also moderated the discussions.

Over the coming months, the expert groups will prepare sector-specific reports on the platformization of key areas of the economy. Their findings will be incorporated into the preparation of the strategy.

During the seminar, Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office, discussed the current state of platformization across sectors, strategic objectives, and approaches to preparing the sector-specific reports.

The expert groups are expected to present their preliminary findings at the Platform Economy Day in November 2026.

The TRIM Center will coordinate the analytical work supporting the preparation of the sector-specific reports and the broader strategy, which is to be presented at the 2027 Future Technologies Forum.
