Building on the Summer Expert Meetings of the Open Dialogue, this five-part podcast series explores the key trends already reshaping the global economy and society.
The series brings together Maxim Oreshkin and participants from the expert meetings for five in-depth conversations on the forces redefining the global landscape: technological sovereignty, demographic sovereignty, the transformation of the financial system, the evolution of digital platforms, and the changing role of people in the era of AI.
The starting point for the series was the report “People, Technology, and Globalization: A New System of Coordinates”, prepared by the TRIM Center of Expertise. During the Summer Expert Meetings, experts examined and challenged its core ideas, offering their own perspectives on the trends identified in the report and how they may evolve.
Autarky or international cooperation: what does real technological sovereignty look like?
The first episode takes a closer look at the changing relationship between globalization and technological sovereignty. Maxim Oreshkin speaks with Yury Maksimov, co-founder of the Cyberus Foundation, and Positive Technologies, about the future of international cooperation, the resilience of digital infrastructure, and the critical question of how much technological autonomy a country needs to remain secure and competitive.

The second episode focuses on the structural transformation of the financial system.
